COVID-19 Safety plans

Below are some of the plans we are making in order to provide a safe and comfortable environment to everyone in attendance.

It's our goal to continue to meet in person at the church building and through Hubs periodically, and the best way to ensure that we can continue to meet is by meeting the safest way possible. See what we are doing below.

  • How are you feeling?

Before joining us for in-person worship, please assess your current health. If you, or anyone you’ve recently been in contact with, are exhibiting any of the following symptoms please worship from home today.

    • Fever or chills - Cough - Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing - Fatigue - Muscle or body aches - Headache - New loss of taste or smell - Sore throat - Congestion or runny nose - Nausea or vomiting - Diarrhea

  • SHOUld I wear a mask?

Yes! In order to protect the most vulnerable in our community, we are asking everyone to wear a mask. This will allow the opportunity for everyone to attend church if they desire. Wearing a mask is the best way to demonstrate "Love thy neighbor" during this season.

In accordance with MDH and CDC guidance and Executive order 20-81, if you are inside the NLCC building, we ask that you wear a mask at all times. Mask are required in all the common areas after entering the building. Also, when singing or ministering directly to one another the best practice is to wear a mask to reduce transmission opportunity to others. Let's make sure we can continue to meet together by being as safe as possible.

  • Before you rush in...

We are asking everyone to enter through the front doors and to maintain distancing inside by spacing our entrances. One of our greeters will meet you there to welcome you to service and answer any questions you may have. Masks will also be provided at each entrance in case you did not bring one and our greeters will make sure there isn't a crowd inside the doors before you enter.

  • How will i check in?

Our check in counter will be set up just inside the entrance to accept one family at a time. Your contact information will be verified as well at check in so we can maintain current communications and contact tracing if necessary.

  • Where should we sit?

We ask that only families sit together. If sharing the same row with another family, please leave at least six feet between your families.

Inside the sanctuary, you’ll notice that we’ve spaced rows out to provide more distancing between groups. We know everyone has their favorite spot, but please do not move chairs to sit in "your spot." Our goal is to provide adequate spacing for your entire group.

  • What about my kids?

Children’s Ministry is open. Please bring your children to worship service with you and enjoy letting your littles watch you in worship as you both grow and learn. To maintain social distancing please make sure they do not roam about or play in the sanctuary.

Following worship, children will be dismissed and must be checked-in by a family member prior to entering Children's Church.

  • Can i sanitize?

For your convenience, hand sanitizing stations have been set up at the front entrance hallway and outside the kitchen window. These stations will automatically dispense the hand sanitizer. Please use as necessary.

  • How Can I give?

We will not pass offering baskets at this time. You can still give in several convenient ways:

    Automatic Withdrawal

Text to Give (text to 84321 and setup NLCC)

By Mail (PO Box 30, Carlton MN 55718)

Use the dropbox at the rear of the sanctuary

  • WHat about our snacks?

To help keep our church family safe, no coffee or baking buddies snacks will be served at this time. Please feel welcome to bring your own coffee from home in a well sealed mug please. If you or a little one have a spill please notify our deacons so the carpet can be treated and cleaned as soon as possible.

  • will we still use bulletins?

Printed copies will be available for personal pickup at the rear of the sanctuary.

  • Are groups still meeting?

Hubs will still be meeting periodically throughout the year and as we take intermittent breaks from our Sunday Gatherings. Prayer ministry and other small groups will still meet and are encouraged to follow the MN Stay Safe guidelines for group sizes and safety practices. Youth group will meet Wednesday evenings as permitted by state guidelines.
